Very enjoyable MacLeod after the Engines of Light trilogy fizzled out in the last book. Fans of Singularity fiction will like this as well as those who like sociological and political SF. What made this book special for me was the snapshot of the arts in the future, something that is often ignored in both written and filmed SF. It's an excellent standalone novel with good action, good ideas and well written.
