I have never gotten to read this book, but I purchased it at a special education seminar. It is signed to me by the author. It has been sitting on a shelf ever since, so I thought maybe it would be useful to someone else.

"Two noted optometrists discuss the promise of vision therapy, the nonsurgical treatment of vision disorders such as nearsightedness, vision-based learning disabilities, and strabismus. Remarkable case histories illustrate that vision--as opposed to sight--is a learned activity; hence, people of all ages can be trained to have better vision skills for reading, driving, video display terminal use, sports, and general health through exercises, biofeedback, and other methods. Curiously, the authors scarcely discuss the therapeutic procedures unique to this little-known modality. Still, an interesting discussion. Recommended for public libraries."
- Judith Eannarino, George Washington Univ. Lib., Washington, D.C.

"The authors present a whole new way of looking at vision and how it effects/impacts one's life. Visual implications in various types of learning/reading disorders, athletic performance, working at a computer, driving an automobile, and your personality are all discussed. Must reading for the insightful reader."
