Called an"excellent Haunted kouse/ghost story", "Elsewhere" was not quite what I expected from Blatty. It started out slowly with a set up of characters; one a realtor who has gathered a book writer, a physic, a professor and writer of the paranormal to spend tine at Elsewhere to prove that it is not haunted so that she can put it on the market and make a killingon the sale. Soon they learn the story behind the house; and the plot picks up with strange occurrances, a seance, a strange house keeper and a crypt in the basement of the house. The story progresses and just when you think al is well and the house will be sold - Blatty takes you on a trip into another world that only he could have conspired. This is not my most favorite of Blatty's books, but well worth reading.
