A really nice collection of stories about mothers and daughters (and fathers and daughters and step parents) from all different cultures. I really enjoyed reading this unusual collection with my 5 year old daughter. There are japanese tales, native american, norwegian, russian, hebrew- all wonderful tales about gaining independence, loyalty, honesty- all positive life lessons to discuss. A really nice collection.
