For the past few years we have followed the action-packed "Evernight" series, and now it's time to find out how the story ends. I'll be honest and say that I was introduced to the Evernight series somewhat recently and I absolutely fell in love with the characters, the plot, and most of all, Gray's creativity and world building. So much has happened to Bianca and Lucas on their journey from Evernight to Afterlife, from their arrival at the Evernight Academy to their astonishing escape from Evernight. And how can we forget about the budding romance between these two fantastic characters. It's utterly impossible, I tell you!

Knowing that Bianca and Lucas were a perfect match for each other was something I thought would turn the entire series on it's rear end but that didn't happen. I kinda liked knowing they would be together instead of wondering if they would. Nice change if you ask me. The chemistry between these two love birds can only be described as electric. They know they want each other and are hellbent on having it stay that way.

Two characters stood out to me as much as Bianca and her beau, Lucas, and they are Balthazar and Mrs. Bethany. Let's just say I have a sweet spot for Balthazar. He actually is more appealing to me than the vampire-hating Lucas. Now Mrs. Bethany was on my crap list from the word go and I was super shocked when a fragment of her past was revealed. Man, it was a shocker and definitely explains her personality.

From start to finish "Afterlife" was a dramatic roller coaster ride filled with vampire and Black Cross action, Wraiths and ghosts, and an ending that makes you wish there was a fifth book coming. Claudia Gray has been catapulted to the top of my most favorite author list and I look forward to seeing just what she has up her sleeve for the coming year.

Would I recommend Afterlife to a friend? Heck yes! I already have actually. So what are you waiting for? Go and pre-order your copy of the dramatic conclusion today or get it while it's hot on March 8th at your favorite bookstore.
