Presumptuous and boring. The book uses a variety of anecdotes in an unorganized (nearly stream of consciousness) mess that will no doubt deter its target audience. It's obvious that the writers don't understand the people they're writing the book for.

Do be warned as well that, while it doesn't say so on the cover, the book is backed very heavily by the Christian religion and in the end is entirely centered around conversion of the reader. Without making this into a religious argument, the book seems to invalidate its own points by crediting teens' achievements directly to a deity rather than through the "hard things" that teen has done.

I will give it an extra star because, for a religious reader from a wealthy and opportunity-saturated background, this book may be partially relevant or at least fulfilling to read.
