What a wonderful story of women's friendship! Kate leaves America for Ireland after her mother's death and a break up. She's just traveling around when she happens upon the town of Glenmara. Everyone(well, almost everyone) there is so welcoming to her. She falls right in with the lace makers, a group of women who get together for companionship and to make the lace their town is so famous for. Each of the women comes with their own set of problems, but the love they have for each other is just heartwarming. There's some animosity from the local priest, and a love interest, of course. My book club members all enjoyed it!
