This was an very good ghost story taking place in England at the time of Dickens.
The author tries to use a Dickensian writing style and it makes the story more authentic.
It is a fast read as the story of Eliza Caine is fascinating.
The reason for the lost of 1 star is the fact that the author set up a sequel which always feels like a cheap trick to me.
There are also a few loose threads which are never closed.
If you like ghost story, I totally recommend it.
