Well done first novel based on facts from a Victorian murder. Story was engaging from the beginning and I did not want to set the book down. The end seemed a bit disjointed and far-fetched, but others may feel that it was twists in the story. Details are vivid enough to pull the reader into the setting, without being too vivid or sensational.
