Vampire assassin, Liam, taking some down time after his last, horrendous assignment leaves him with nightmares and possibly a punishment from the ruling Council for the methods he used.
He has an antique store in Clare Point, Delaware, a town run by vampires. Then Mai walks into his store looking for things for her own antique shop. Before you know it they are involved in murder, double-cross and the Mafia.
For me the story dragged on too long and had an abrupt ending. The most interesting part was Prince of dogs, a rat terrier belonging to Mai's father. It was nice catching up with Kaleigh again to see how she is maturing. But not interesting enough to keep my attention for long so only worth 3.5 stars from me.
