paralegal in London returns home for a work project. Home being the Highlands area of Scotland along the sea. She has not been home to her family in several years and things were a little rough when she left. Her mom died when she was home last and she misses her mom. But she patches things up with her family and finds her love again for her hometown. Plus she opens a café featuring all her mom's recipes. And of course there are two romantic possibilities. Neither are perfect or obvious so I was trying to figure out throughout the book who she would end up with. And the ending was not too pat because it is not altogether clear if the relationship, which is going to be long distance, will work out long term or not. Easy reading, good characters.
