I really did not like this book. It seemed to me to be a famous author's love affair with his own words, but the story did nothing for me. I did not like the portrayal of the widows, it seemed to me to be a case of a man writing what HE thinks it's like to be an older woman, and I did not feel very kindly towards that portrayal.
