On the surface, all was well. In fact, better than well. Audra Grey was the perfect wife, perfect hostess, perfect church member. But something wasn't right. The shining example she showed her family and friends was only playacting. On the inside, Audra's life grew more joyless by the day.
The problem wasn't hard to identify. Her husband of many years ignored her and went about his life as though she were invisible. Loneliness and depression became her constant companions. And the longer Audra ignored her condition, the more she became an easy target for emotional disaster.
Sure enough, one day temptation walked into her office in the form of a sensitive man who offered her all the attention and intimacy she so longlingly craved. Engaged in a fierce battle with her feelings, Audra wrestled with the idea of divorcing her husband.
What Audra discovers through her turbulent encounter with temptation is that no matter how hopeless life seems, God will open doors to emotional and spiritual freedom-if we just trust Him and allow His infinite wisdom to guide our paths.
