From the intro. inside the book:

Activities include experiences with several science processes. Observations are made when popcorn is popped, when photographs are taken, and in many other ways. Children encounter space and time relationships as the locate objects while blindfolded, repeat sound sequences, examine photographs, and arrange a picture story in sequential order. Simple inferences are made when the children use their senses to classify photographs into groups using the centers in their classroom as criteria. Communication is encountered as the children talk about their senses throughout the series of activities.
