This 1st novel was published after others in the series, but I've read it 1st without reading any of his other books. I'm reading Kuzneski based on some reviews of later books. Like many first novels, this book relies on improbable coincidences to help tie the plot together, however there were enough plot twists to keep me piqued. It will be interesting for me to see how Kuzneski has improved in his later writings.
