I read this book when it was first published and imagine my horror and dejavu feeling when watching the twin towers on television on that fateful day on September eleventh. In Fallout a pilot is training foriegn pilots to fly american fighter planes. He has that pit of your stomach feeling during the training time. The pilot trainees are "cocky" never quite showing the proper respect for the instruction that they are recieving at the expense and grace of the American Government.
True to his gut feeling these trainees do go on to attack America in the very planes that they were trained to operate by this Patriot. Well written and a darn good read even if it is eerie in light of what happened just a few months after its publication date.
