I think this is one of the best American Girl books I have read in quite some time. The book is based on the war of 1812. The main theme is doing what you know to be right though it may be difficult, the times may be difficult.. Caroline's Daddy is prisoner.
When you read this book you will want to read the next ones..I have nothing bad to say about this book.
