Okay story, but not what I expected. "Clone Wars Novel" made me think, "This has excellent ratings on Amazon, and its about Yoda, and its the Clone Wars; it must be good, if not great." First I thought it would be Yoda leading the clones into battle against the Trade Fed, Techno Union, Geonosian Droid Foundries, Commerce guilds, or the others. Actually, it mainly focused on two relatively irrelavent characters named "Whie" "Scout" and "asajj ventress".They are truly obnoxious and do little except cause trouble for Yoda, and vice versa. Basically, it is divided between extremely humorous and horribly annoying.
Yoda is unnaturally silly. First he jokes about moving the temple simply because there is not much open space. When a package arrives and showes his reflection for several scans to make sure the recipient is Yoda himself and no other, he makes faces. He fights with a 'droid who I will now quote: "My sensors cannot identify the contents of this bowl as edible. Please wait here while I bring you today's special." (Everybody in the book is disgusted by his food preferences)--Later he hides inside an Artoo unit and frightens another curious R2. Near the end he pretends to consider "turning to dark side" when in a meeting with his former apprentice Dooku/Darth Tyranus. Notwithstanding most the rest is downright dumb and strange. But I think that it was worth the credit it took to purchase this book and it was worth reading. I am glad I gave it a try, but I was dissappointed how the majority was filled in with annoyingness. Give it a try if it is posted.
