Jeffrey Archer's Hidden in Plain Sight is the second novel in the William Warwick series featuring Detective William Warwick, a character from his series The Clifton Chronicles. William has been promoted to Detective Sergeant. He has been reassigned to the Drugs Squad. They are tasked with apprehending Khalil Rashidi, a notorious drug dealer. William runs into old enemies. Adrian Heath is now a street dealer. Financier Miles Faulkner makes a mistake that could finally see him put behind bars. William and his fiancee Beth enjoy making preparations for their upcoming wedding. This book is not a detective story but a story about Detective Warwick. It is a family saga with interesting characters. The book ends on a cliffhanger and I can't wait to read the next book, Turn a Blind Eye. Jeffrey Archer is a great storyteller and if you haven't read his Clifton Chronicles, now is the time to do that. You will get so much more out of this book if you start with that series.
