I absolutely love this author. She has such a wicked sense of humor. I read the book many years ago and kept remembering what she had written so I wanted to reread it. I am totally amazed at how slanted (or should I be?!?!!!) supposedly "rational" science is geared towards the mighty human male. I have long been irritated at the use of "generic" man has a noun in sentences rather than the non-generic "humanity," which I think is more intellectually honest as male is supposedly to refer to both human men and human women, but in actual wording of the sentence you know that only the human male is denoted as Morgan so clearly details in the male viewpoint only in science as does Jared Diamond in his writings. So, these two scientists are the only scientists I intend to read in non-fiction science.

In fact, I will try to find another copy here as I want to give this copy to a friend and keep one for myself.
