i gave this book 1/2 star. do not get me wrong. it was a good book. i liked it. but i did not understand it. i do not think there is anything to understand. the plot never finished. it never went anywhere. it did not finish... ever see that movie "jacobs ladder" (worst movie i have ever seen...)? it was sort of like that- not the story or the plot, just the disconnected, mean nothing story. if this book has a sequel to end it i will not be bothering to read it.
"Searcy's tale gradually builds to an unforgettable apocalyptic climax"- from the blurb- whatever, i think NOT. did this book really climax? i must have missed it while my eyes were crossed in boredom and confusion, wondering where the plot went...
