J. Minter's Insiders books reflect life on the upper east side of NYC from the perspective of five high school guys; Mickey, David, Arno, Patch and Jonathan. It's a guy perspective just but they are heavily involved with girls and you'll read their stories as well. HOLD ON TIGHT is book five in the series and the guys are college shopping. That is, "burning rubber" on the east coast highway to the Ivy League colleges.
