This book gives the reader an idea of what Amish life is like although this is a work of fiction. It also is a mystery where the reader can attempt to solve the crime of arson and murder. The subject matter is based on the author's experience with the Amish people. I picked it up for this reason alone since I am usually a nonfiction reader.
