Book Review of How to Kill Your Family

How to Kill Your Family

I was so disappointed in this book! I was expecting something clever and amusing, but it was a repetitive slog. The entire novel is Grace writing (while she is incarcerated in prison) about why her family deserved to be killed and how she murdered them. (You can guess how that ends...) Grace has been wrongfully convicted of a different murder and is expecting to be released soon. She spends a lot of time (and words, words, words...) on minute details of her relatives lives and how she feels about them, and only a few paragraphs about how each relative dies. So boring! The "surprise" reveal toward the end of the book was not enough to save it.
