Sixth in the series and not a good book to jump in with. There's certainly a lot going on here. The Rockton people, two groups of settlers, traders, hostiles, tourists, spies... by the end I was having some trouble keeping track of them all. I did kind of like the big reveal at the end, although it required a lot of belief suspension. The bear thing had me rolling my eyes though, Armstrong could have saved herself several pages with that one. Still, a good read with familiar characters.
