Memoirs of the early life of author Jessica Mitford. Born to an eccentric upper-class British family, related by both blood and marriage to Winston Churchill, Mitford's tumultuous youth led her to flirt with communism, marry a brash young adventurer and set off for the Spanish Civil War, and finally landed the couple in the U.S. as Great Britain dithered its way toward entry into WWII.
