This was a really fun read! The story centers around Mick Winchester and his former college sweetheart, Caroline Lamb. Caro has come to Mick's town to film a reality murder mystery television show called Killing Time in a Small Town. Caro ends up renting a room in Mick's house, and their relationship is snarky, spicy, and sweet. I really did feel like I was watching a reality tv show being filmed- lots of silly, small-town stuff involved. The actual murder happens in the last 100 pages or so, and is done in a very cozy mystery kind of way. The wrap up of the mystery is done in a believable way, and I liked how the relationship ended up too. Even though this book is older, it aged pretty well. (Sure, VCRs were mentioned, etc.) Overall, I closed the book with a smile. A good read.
