If you liked the other books in the 44 Scotland Street series you will also like this one. I particularly enjoy these books in audio form because I like to hear the different Scottish accents and characters' voices (read beautifully by Robert Ian Mackenzie.) These books reveal people and their relationships, joys and sorrows, in everyday life. There is little excitement, per se, but a lovely wash of exposure to imaginary lives of a group of people in Edinburgh.
