Judge Victor Montgomery has been murdered in his study. His teenage stepdaughter was found unconscious in the house. His blood was on her hands. District Attorney Julie Chandler doesn't believe her niece tried to kill anybody. Emily has had her share or problems, including running away from home. But she would never go this far for attention. Without knowing where to turn, Julia calls on Private Investigator Connor Kincaid. Connor found Emily when she ran away a couple of years ago. He said he would help Emily if she needed it. Will he help Emily even though he blames Julia for the loss of his career?

The second book in Brennan's Evil Trilogy kept me glued to the pages. I'm not a fan of getting into the killer's head. In this book we spent a lot of time with a group of killers, hearing their thoughts. We know exactly who they were. The reader had to figure out who was controlling them. There were a lot of twists and turns in this story. My rating: 4 Stars.
