The interesting thing about this book is that Paul Newman didn't gloss over his mistakes. Generally, he seemed to tell the unvarnished facts about himself, good and bad. I was surprised to see that Newman admitted to having had an affair after marrying Joanne Woodward. Although I knew about the Hole-in-the-Wall Foundation and the charitable donations from his food empire, I was surprised to see how extensive his philanthropy extended. This was certainly a worthwhile read.
