The year is 1877. The scene is Mexico on the brink of civil war. But Ken Larrway, a young American studentof the legendary weapons master Calleja, is fighting a war of his own. He has the death of Martin Zaldivar notched on his belt, a killing crew on his trail, a fortune in gold on his head and the wrath of Martins father, Ramos Zaldivar, the most feared warlord in Mexico on his back. Even an isolated colony of polygamous, espartriate Americans is not a safe haven for the fleeing Larrway as Zalvidars appetite for blond women has brought his rapacious reach there as well. Larways skill with a pistol is the settlers last hope of keeping their daughters safe and may be Larrways final shot at freedom - or his death....
