Given the cute dog on the cover and the phrase "like sliding into favortie slippers at the end of the long day" in the blurb I thought this would be a cozy mystery about the holidays. Instead it's about drug dealing, murder, witness protection and the New Jersey mob. I liked it enough to finish it and the story was compelling, but if you're looking for heart-warming community moments you've picked the wrong series.
