This is about a young girl who lives with her distant and abusive father. She believes she is responsible for her mothers death. She takes a journey with her Negro housekeeper, after the housekeeper has a run-in with some white men and she is arrested. The journey takes them to a beekeeper and her sisters. Enjoyable read!
