Interesting because it's about Edgar Allan Poe, but the telling of his story was dry as toast. And confusing, too. I didn't understand why the writer chose to jump back and forth between periods of Poe's life (it wasn't told chronologically). What a shame that he had such a difficult life. Overall, it was a harder read than I had anticipated (disappointing, really) especially as he is a favorite of mine. Recommended to die-hard fans only. 3 stars.
