One of the review excerpts on the back cover says this is "An Irish Shadow of the Wind," but I disagree. I thought it was a mis-mash of disjointed plots that eventually grew tiresome. I think fiction using historical characters can sometimes be problematic, and this one was. The plotline about Yeats and his interest in the supernatural was disappointing, as was the story about his marriage.

I thought the writing itself was interesting and inventive in descriptions of the Irish coastline.

One thing I found interesting was that the oft-used title for books is a phrase found in Yeats' poem The Second Coming; so at least this book can lay claim to its use.
