This is the final book in the Admiral Morgan vs Ravi Rashood epic. Personally, I think the ongoing battle of stealth and seafaring reached it's apex in the novel prior to this one. Now don't get me wrong, Robinson has created another page turner. I like the emphasis on domestic terrorism, it defferently offers a change from the nautical challenges of his previous work.
However, this is a story of personal stakes and not geo-political intrigue, the fate of the world really does not lie in the balance. Because Morgan is a superman, you are never really in doubt of the predictable outcome. I feel like after four novels chronicling Morgan's struggle with the elusive Ravi, a more satisfying conclusion is in order.
Decent on its own merits, just check your expectations. If you are Ramshaw fan, than this is a good book for you.
