Rachel Hauck's newest book, THE WEDDING SHOP is a standalone, though fans will definitely want to read The Wedding Dress and The Wedding Chapel. Ms. Hauck is a hit or miss author for me, and this book, THE WEDDING SHOP was a hit. I have to say I love, love, loved Birch Good, and I connected with Cora big time. Haley I didn't connect as well with, but I did love Cole.
I had to keep reading to find out what would happen with Cora and her life story. I also loved the way Ms. Hauck tied Cora's story and Haley's story together, and while their histories were totally unique and their own, yet they were similar enough to bond the women.
THE WEDDING SHOP is a beautiful story, beautifully written. Forbidden moments of passion, a man who's love is true, a man willing to give up his most valuable possession to help a "friend", and a woman who isn't afraid to honor a pinky-promise but discovers it was meant to be.
THE WEDDING SHOP is a book to be cherished, put on the keeper shelf or shared with a friend. Valuable life lessons are mixed in with the truth, the faith, and with love. If you love contemporary romances, don't miss this newest one by Rachel Hauck. Great book. 4.5 stars.
