I want to start off by telling you that I have not read Twilight. I started it but was very under-impressed by Stephanie Meyer's writing and could not get over it in order to finish the book. But as my niece kept talking about the story, I wanted to be able to talk to her about it. So I thought that listening to it may allow me to get through it.
I found it much easier to focus on the story rather than the writing in the audio format. The Narrators voice was easy to listen to--but I hated the way she emphasized "Bella" every time she said it. Sometimes it was appropriate, but every single time was annoying.
But I did find the story more compelling than I expected. I am excited to get the next book as an audio CD.
