This is a tender and emotional read with some unrequited desire that had me eating up the delicious sexual tension that poured off Gifford. I was just disappointed that it took a long time for Temperance to come around. Emotionally detached, absent parent(s) create fathomless heartache for their loved ones and that's always difficult to see, especially in stories that capture the raw pain and endless disappointment like in Temperance's experience, but I wasn't expecting Gifford to be the overlooked and unappreciated son, and in this they were a steadfast support for each other. A solid romance that's more comfortable than thrilling. 3 stars.
