"The Traitor's Wife" is the prequel to "The Heretic's Daughter, and I believe, the better written of the two.
This is wonderful historical fiction of one of the worst periods of American history with the Salem Witch Trials. Both books tell about the lifes of Martha and Thomas Carrier. It is also romantic and a thriller. Thomas' life before he met Martha was as a Welsh soldier who rode with Oliver Cromwell at one time, and eventually became an executor of a king.
