WOW! What a hang-on-by-the-tips-of-your-fingernails kind of book! So much action ...so much suspense.

Although this is a Ryder Creed novel, Maggie O'Dell plays a large role. In North Carolina, a huge landslide has caused countless problems, not the least being a government research facility being buried under tons of dirt and mud and muck.
Ryder and his dogs are called in to locate bodies .. dead or alive. Maggie's government friend asks her to get to the site in order to make sure things are done correctly. That's when she's told there have been a couple of bodies already found ... but the mudslide didn't kill them ... bullets did.

So many secrets ... so many lies ... so much classified information. Ryder and O'Dell are walking into a danger that goes back 50 years.

Excellent book! I made sure to read the first Creed book, mainly because I've been reading Alex Kava for years and have never been disappointed. And secondly because I wanted to make sure I didn't miss anything. This one can stand alone ... but I would highly recommend reading Breaking Creed first. It's not a continuing story, but you pick up all the intrumental personal nuances that flow through both books.

This one won't be available until 7/15 and I'm already psyched to get the next one.

I won this digital ebook from First-To-Read. My many thanks to First To Read and the publisher!
