Boston society girl McKenzie Worthington decides that the best way to find her sister, who is living in Montana in an abusive marriage, is to pose as a mail order bride to rancher Zach Sawyer. She does not care that she has no plans to be a real wife or a step mother to the small boy that Zach has adopted. McKenzie is only focused on saving her sister. She is rude, obnoxious and overbearing to those she comes in contact with in Montana. She soon realizes that if she wants Zach's help to find her sister (and she needs it) that she needs to change her attitudes and the way she treats others. In the process she comes to realize that life as a rancher's wife and a mother would not be such a bad thing.
