This is book 3 of a 4 book series. I would recommend that the series be read in order.
Indigo Wolf is the daughter of Loretta and Hunter Wolf (Comanche Moon) who was raised by her parents to be proud of both her white and Comanche heritage. Problem was, white society would not let her forget that she was a "squaw". An incident from when she was 13 (told in Comanche Heart)will not let her forget what white men in particular think of her.
Jake Rand enters Indigo's life when he signs on as a foreman at Hunter's gold mines, determined to find the source of the "accidents" that have been occurring at the mines. Indigo has no use for him, as she trusts no white man and soon under a less than perfect situation, she finds herself Mrs Jake Rand.
Secrets, mystery, mistrust, misunderstand and a slow building to love makes for a wonderful story. This is a book that I found hard to put aside even for necessary things like sleep. Ms Anderson has a wonderful way of writing. Her characters and story pull you in and you do not want to let go. I believe that even non-readers of the romance genre would enjoy this book.
