i havent read anything by her but a flite attendant was reading it and it looked pretty good so i got it from my book club.
and loved it!!!!
its about a young girl, kate, who is diagnosed with cancer and her best hope is blood from a family member. none of her family members are a good enough match so her parents have another child- genetically produced to be a perfect match. thirteen years down the line, after anna has given her sister kate quite a few transfusions, bone marrow,etc. she is told she has to give kate a kidney.
anna decides to file a law suit because she wants a say in the matter.
each chapter is told from the point of view of anna, one of her family members, her lawyer, or the woman appointed to be her gaurdian.
its a great story, with a tragic surprise ending. loved it and i think ill read a few more of her books!
