I didn't realize this book was a prequel to Mortal Seductions, so the appearance of Dimitri near the end was a nice surprise, though his character was not woven in enough to be a true prequel. The result is two very stand-alone books that can be read in any order. There is but a mention of him in this book, and the same of Niko and Andreas in his book.

I did enjoy this one, though it's not a keeper for me like Seductions. I enjoy James' writing, as she is able to inject enough plot between the steamy sex to keep it interesting - not always the case with erotica. She could add a few more pages devoted to character development, and the implication of sex amongst the demi-gods without any detail was a bit of a let down, but again, she's better at this genre than many, many others.
