A Royal Murder (Eleanor Roosevelt, Bk 13)
reviewed on

Author: Elliott Roosevelt(one of manuscripts published after his death in 1990 & critics stated it was the most compelling of his series) From dust jacket: At FDR's request, Eleanor Roosevelt travels to the Bahamas, where the U.S. is planning to establish air and naval bases in order to thwart Hitler's plans for expansion. Even though the First Lady is protected by undercover intelligence officers, the strange customs that prevail in the Bahamas trap Eleanor in the complicated, subversive schemes fabricated by wartime profiteers. As Eleanor begins to investiage the situation, her visit makes her privy to plots that could turn the Bahamas--as well as all of Latin American--into a Nazi base.
