I thoroughly enjoyed this book. It is a simple tale of people in the early 19th century, taking you from their childhoods through love, married life, children and all the joys and hardships they endure. It is engaging - you really, really care about the characters as you follow their lives right up to the end. It is one I'll think about for a long time. D.
