Back of book says: Way back in the hills of Newton Co., Arkansas, the Ozarks. Part of our world is disappearing. Time and progress seem to pave over a way of life back in these hills and valleys. A unique culture might disappera forever except for the memories of author Jim Hefley, who takes us back to barefoot days in one-room schools, of coon hunting half the night with his daddy, and fishing cold mountain creeks and rivers.
I say: Hefley reminisces with humor, deep love, and a very readable style. This is a very interesting book - if I could give it 6 stars I would.
