The book starts out a bit slow but becomes hard to put down once you get into it. It is a modern fairytale, which means it is written in the style of fairy tales with much of their background, however it is original and overall is nothing like anything I've ever read. The book is well written, it was neither predictable nor full of plot holes. I had a hard time putting it down at night, and probably wouldn't have had it not been so long.
