I did not enjoy this book as much as the first two entries in the Incryptid series. The first half was very slow, though the pace picks up considerably in the latter half. I like the characters in Verity's stories better, though the reptile-focus of this story did allow the introduction of some new species. Fortunately, the Aeslin mice do make an appearance.
